Supporting Those
Who Serve

Our Organization

Southwest Leadership Center (SWLC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting ministerial families, encouraging pastors’ children, assisting widows of ministers, and empowering multicultural ministries. Founded by Doug and Becky Pierce, SWLC builds on a lifetime of service and leadership to provide hope, resources, and encouragement to those faithfully serving others.

Our mission is to uplift and equip ministerial families through practical support, mentorship, and community. Whether it’s helping pastors’ kids thrive in their unique circumstances, coaching multicultural leaders, or addressing the needs of ministerial widows and families, we are committed to making a lasting impact.

Doug and Becky Pierce bring a combined 80+ years of leadership, service, and compassion to the Southwest Leadership Center.

Doug’s ministry career spans decades of leadership within the Arizona District Church of the Nazarene, where he served as district superintendent for 12 years and assistant superintendent for six years. He also pastored at Tempe Church of the Nazarene and New Hope Community Church and managed operations at Western Oaks Church of the Nazarene. Additionally, Doug chaired the Camp Pinerock operations board and has held leadership roles on several boards, including Point Loma Nazarene University, where he is in his third term as board chair.

Becky’s career in the medical field, paired with her personal experience as a pastor’s daughter, uniquely positions her to understand and address the challenges faced by ministerial families. Her work focuses on encouraging pastors’ children and supporting widows of ministers through practical aid and relational care. Together, the Pierces are dedicated to fostering leadership and hope through the Southwest Leadership Center.
